Excursion to National Unity Day
Already according to established tradition, on September 17, on the Day of National Unity in Belarus, the trade union committee organized a trip to the historical city of Pinsk.
The journey took place through the most colorful region of our country - Pripyat Polesie.
The ancient city of Pinsk, one of the most beautiful and cozy places in Belarus, the historical center of which is an urban planning monument of republican significance, and the ancient settlement is an archaeological reserve. The famous trade route “from the Varangians to the Greeks” passed here, and the mythical Herodotus Sea overflowed.
At the Museum of Belarusian Polesie we got acquainted with a rich ethnographic collection, which told about the life and traditions of the Poleshuks - a distinctive ethnic group that has still preserved its unique cultural heritage and mentality. A boat trip was also organized along the picturesque shores of the Belarusian Amazon - Pripyat.
A film screening of the Belarusfilm film “On the Other Shore” was also organized for National Unity Day.
