Therapeutic and functional capabilities of the department:
- Possession of various operational and non-operational aids during childbirth by the medical staff of the department;
- Attendance at childbirth of a multidisciplinary team, which includes an obstetrician-gynecologist, a neonatologist, a midwife, if indicated - an anesthesiologist-resuscitator for newborns, anesthesiologist-resuscitator, anesthesiologist;
- Management of labor associated with a high risk of complications for the mother and fetus. The maternity department is equipped with modern medical equipment (delivery beds, respiratory and anesthetic equipment, heart monitors for adults, fetal heart rate monitors, dispensers for drug administration, etc.). The department has cardiac monitors that allow the evaluation of fetal ECG with ST-component analysis, indicating fetal hypoxia at the earliest stage;
- Management of vaginal delivery with a scar on the uterus after cesarean section;
- At the request of a woman, there is the possibility of individual management of childbirth with the appointment of a specific doctor;
- The department has implemented a vertical delivery technique;
- Partner childbirth is encouraged;
- At the request of the woman, the umbilical cord blood can be taken;
- Delayed cord clamping, early attachment to the breast and early skin-to-skin contact are widely used in separation practice;
- Monitoring the postpartum woman in the early postpartum period;
- The use of various techniques for pain relief in labor, from self-pain relief to regional analgesia.
- Extensive use of the impact of water on reflexogenic zones for the purpose of non-drug pain relief during labor, which can significantly reduce the use of drug pain relief during childbirth.
