Gynecological department №1 The main tasks of the department:
- Provision of qualified medical care to gynecological patients:
- Conservative treatment for patients with gynecological pathology;
- performing level 3 surgical interventions;
- performing medical and diagnostic procedures, including in a day hospital.
- Provision of planned advisory and emergency medical care in the regions of the region (CRH), departments of regional medical institutions;
- Mastering and implementation of modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of gynecological diseases into clinical practice;
- Professional development of the department employees at republican, international seminars, BelMAPO courses.

Therapeutic and functional capabilities of the department:
- Conservative treatment of patients with gynecological diseases, including physiotherapy;
- Comprehensive examination of the reproductive system: ultrasound of the pelvic organs, abdominal cavity, colposcopy, X-ray examination of the abdominal cavity, chest organs, computed tomography;
- Diagnostic interventions on the pelvic organs (according to indications):
- Separate diagnostic curettage of the uterine mucosa;
- Culdocentesis;
- Biopsy of the vulva, vaginal mucosa, vaginal part of the cervix;
- Endometrial aspiration biopsy performed;
- Aspiration of the contents of the cervical canal, uterine cavity for cytological examination.
- Operational interventions:
- High amputation of the cervix;
- Cone-shaped amputation of the cervix;
- Anterior colporrhaphy;
- Colpoperineoplasty;
- Manchester Operation;
- Reconstruction of the anterior and posterior pelvic fascia using mesh alloprostheses;
- Slings for stress urinary incontinence;
- Supravaginal uterine amputation;
- Extirpation of the uterus by abdominal and vaginal methods.
The department also performs high-tech operations on the pelvic organs, organ-preserving operations on the uterus and appendages for benign tumors.
